This song goes out to my Opposing Counsel, because it perfectly describes one of the cases I've been on since last December:
First you say you won't, then you say you will.
You keep me hanging on, and we're not moving on
I"m standing still, Jenny, you got me on my knees
Jenny, it's killing me
The Click Five,

In other words: CHRIS, LET'S TRY THIS PLACE OUT SOON!
There are actually a lot of places that I want to try but Pei Yi does not really appreciate food enough to make her a viable companion. Ergo, I go to you.

!!! I've either tried that place before or wanted to try it out, so LET'S GO FOR IT! ♥
C'MON, LET'S GO GET FOOD. ♥ I adore new places! HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO FIND RESTAURANTS YOU WANTED TO TRY SO FAST, MAN. ;)

That should go to my client who keeps changing his bloody mind about trial dates! BAH!!!!!!!!
All the lawyers in my firm went on a 1.5 week golfing trip leaving poor articling student behind as the "go-to" person for all law-related questions. GRRRRR!! My phone is ringing non-stop with client calls.
My record billable hour in one day was 16.75 *vomits* I don't ever want to repeat that.
Now I must deal with a 80-page defendant's counterclaim. WHO THE HECK FILES A 80-page COUNTERCLAIM!!!!??? No wonder the case was siphoned off to me!
Sigh....my term is up in 2 months...then I'll be called.

I know this is totally the wrong reaction, but ... I want to be able to duplicate your record billable hour day! But seriously, I imagine it must have been hell.
HANG IN THERE! It sounds like you've had a really gruelling few months: but I'm worried for you: will things improve after you get called?

I guess it's UI line first after being called, then I'll find a firm in the Asian community that can use a multilingual fresh lawyer (who still requires lots of trianing). I don't feel like putting my Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese skills to waste.
One piece of advice--DO NOT repeat the 16.75 billable hour in one day. I was a walking zombie by the end of the day and nearly crashed my car while driving home. not good not good......
