Working Vacation

This weekend, I got out of town and back to my roots in Vermont, as I gathered with my extended family to scrape, power-wash, stain, and trim my mom’s house (and garage!).

The house looks wonderful! You guys did a great job! And I bet you really had fun. I'm in awe, Becca, of your amazing ability to bring people together in ways that I'm sure they never imagined possible. Church at home sounds wonderful!

The Organic Altar has me very curious who picked what and what the stories were behind each object! I missed everyone this weekend, but I'm glad you all seemed to have a fun (if busy!) time. :-)

Also... it got me wondering what I would have picked if I'd been there. I think it would have been the Swiss Army Knife I always carry in my pocket, because carrying it is all about proactively solving problems and being able to help people. (Yeah, I still have fantasies of being MacGyver. There are worse role models, after all. *g*)

I think you did wonderfully with the not giving away names. That was a perfectly clear description to me! And my guesses were all reasonably accurate... though I did wonder about the bottle cap. :-)
