It's clear you weren't teenagers in the 80s, because knowing what the Brat Pack was up to (and the John Hughes Set who didn't cross over) was unavoidable. It's like Britney or Jessica: their foibles were manditory: yes, this is on the test.
And they're still on the radar, as much as I'd like to forget them. I couldn't help but know the day that it was announced that AMH was gonna be in The Dead Zone; it's like I'm permanently crippled in this weird way that when their names are announced, I must listen.
And, for the record, the official AMH attempting to shed his geek image (the perfection of which was in Sixteen Candles, of course) was the movie Johnny Be Good, damn my eyes for having to have to see it. And he went on to take on more jock roles, like in Edward Scissorhands. Damn you, brain cells, DAMN YOU, DIE!
What shocked me (yes, shocked) was sitting next to people trying to figure out why Molly Ringwald was at the end of Another Teen Movie. Go watch your damn Lindsay Lohans (Ann-Margaret clone
( ... )
The Breakfast Club is one of my favoritest movies ever. I wonder if they have a super-cool DVD with fun extras?
also, I never knew that Billy Idol sang "don't you forget about me". It's not his version that's in the movie though...did he cover the Simple Minds song, or is theirs a remake of his song?
no no, simple minds did the one in the movie - advocatedevil just loves billy so much, he likes to think that billy has sang every song ever. we find that adorable ;p
also? AMH was quite good in "six degrees of separation" (which was a stunningly amazing movie anyway).
Yeah, I knew it was Simple Minds in the movie...but I did my research and it turns out that Billy does in fact sing that song, too. I ever heard a sample of it on iTunes. =)
So now I'm curious as to which one is the original and which is the cover.

But, what's up with the scar on Anthony Michael Hall's face now? What horrible accident was he in?
