While watching The Breakfast Club on this rainy Sunday afternoon, narcissisme posted an interesting question, what have they done after that?

The Breakfast Club is one of my favoritest movies ever. I wonder if they have a super-cool DVD with fun extras?

also, I never knew that Billy Idol sang "don't you forget about me". It's not his version that's in the movie though...did he cover the Simple Minds song, or is theirs a remake of his song?

One of my favoritest movies, too. Screw all people who are down on The Breakfast Club.

But, what's up with the scar on Anthony Michael Hall's face now? What horrible accident was he in?

no no, simple minds did the one in the movie - advocatedevil just loves billy so much, he likes to think that billy has sang every song ever. we find that adorable ;p

also? AMH was quite good in "six degrees of separation" (which was a stunningly amazing movie anyway).

if it matters.

Yeah, I knew it was Simple Minds in the movie...but I did my research and it turns out that Billy does in fact sing that song, too. I ever heard a sample of it on iTunes. =)

So now I'm curious as to which one is the original and which is the cover.

i take that back (a little research goes a long way!)

simple minds recorded the original in 1985, and it was featured in the breakfast club. billy idol covered it in 2001 for a self-titled greatest hits collection.

i ♥ allmusic.com :)
