It was. There was never a dull moment with all of you around.

I... I've never had a big family before. And I haven't had a mom in a long time.

[She misses you too. The apartment is quiet now. Mary smiles warmly.]

You're always welcome to come over and visit me whenever you'd like, Summer.

Really? [She sounds hopeful and looks it too. Having a mother figure would do so much good.]

[Ryan heard all of that and he's not sure how he feels about it. Yes, he loves Summer but things are complicated. There's Seth and there's Taylor. There's also Ryan's past history. Love doesn't work out so well for him. It scares him because it gives more to weight to everything he has to lose.

After a little while he walks outside and leans against one of the posts supporting the porch, just watching Summer with the bunnies.]

It's going to be too cold soon to do this with them.

[She glances behind her to see Ryan. She wonders if he heard any of that and sort of... hopes he hasn't because she's afraid it's too soon or that it'll freak him out. She remembers how he reacted with Marissa and Taylor when they told him the same thing. ]

Yeah, I figured I'd let them do a few more times before it does get cold.

[He just doesn't deal with it well. It's not a problem with the girl saying it or even a lack of feelings. It's the way stakes are raised by those three words. Ryan just nods and steps down from the porch, coming to sit on the grass next to her.]
