[Ryan heard all of that and he's not sure how he feels about it. Yes, he loves Summer but things are complicated. There's Seth and there's Taylor. There's also Ryan's past history. Love doesn't work out so well for him. It scares him because it gives more to weight to everything he has to lose.

After a little while he walks outside and leans against one of the posts supporting the porch, just watching Summer with the bunnies.]

It's going to be too cold soon to do this with them.

[She glances behind her to see Ryan. She wonders if he heard any of that and sort of... hopes he hasn't because she's afraid it's too soon or that it'll freak him out. She remembers how he reacted with Marissa and Taylor when they told him the same thing. ]

Yeah, I figured I'd let them do a few more times before it does get cold.

[He just doesn't deal with it well. It's not a problem with the girl saying it or even a lack of feelings. It's the way stakes are raised by those three words. Ryan just nods and steps down from the porch, coming to sit on the grass next to her.]

[She smiles when he sits next to her, bumping his shoulder with her own]

I don't think I got to thank you for being so... accepting of that curse. You were really, really awesome.

[He shrugs a little]

I can understand wanting a family.

[So did she. She reaches for his hand after she urges Pancakes to hop off her lap]

Still, you didn't have to do that and you were amazing. I know it's not your thing.

[Ryan just shrugs and takes her hand.] No but it was yours that day.

You're welcome. [It's not that he didn't want to go, it was just the whole idea of walking in cold. Plus his previous experience with girlfriends families.]

[He's braver than she, she'd be freaked out.] So you know what this means now, don't you?

[He thinks a minute and then finally raises an eyebrow at her.] I managed not to punch someone at a family dinner?

That... [She laughs] And you've earned yourself like, twenty kisses and you passed the family test.
