September is expensive. It's very inconsiderate of people to lump their birthdays all together. This is even more true of March and, slightly less true of August. Still, it gives me an excuse to shop, which is always good (less good by myself, but still :D ( Read more... )

Meeeeeee, too. On both counts. I keep hoping people will get it together, but the figures people have been talking about (like on your LJ) are majorly terrifying. Alas...Well, the best I can do is vote, and I'll do that as soon as I get my ballot.

My favorite episode is still the pope killing episode. Not that I don't love the others any less. But Bernard is perfect in that episode (at least for me).
Also, I'm forming an unhealthy addiction to the Visual Kei bands Laura keeps showing me. D:
It doesn't help that hot Japanese musicians sit outside the live house that's a minute walk from my apartment.

Haha oh man, you make fun of me for my joke-Johnny's guys, but then you get into Visual Kei? I see how it is XD The last VK band I heard anything from was Pashya, and they're okay.

Also yes! The pope-killing episode is fantastic. I also love them all, but that whole episode in particular is excellent :D I only had space for two Black Books icons, though, so I will have to reuse one of them.

Now you see here! I'd feel bad trying to bang one of your cute Japanese boys- the visual kei men I've latched onto are hot and manly (sometimes). :D
Laura has picked up and laughed at the fact that I love tall dark and handsome. *sigh* I hate it when she says it in that way- but she keeps showing me men who smirk. SMIRK! I'm screwed.I've been watching all the videos on you tube. Huzzah for free music!

Hahaha well, I guess that's fair, since a lot of the Johnny's guys are so busy providing slash fic-writers with canon material...XD Still, I find a man in a corset and/or David Bowie-esque Magic Crow costume slightly off-putting, but whatever floats your boat XD

Smirking is a definite plus for most guys, so I can see where your troubles start. Still, I think you'll make it through somehow XD Also, free music ftw!

I know I know, finishing the dissertation was so anti-climactic wasn:t it? ^^' When I get back we:ll totally have to have a big do. And also one for my birthday. >.> I think I:m going to rearrange it for the 22nd, haha.

It really sort of was anti-climactic! It was like, all right I've been working on this for six months and...now it's just...over? Okay? I mean, I guess...Also, I'm excited for gatherings of all kinds and for all purposes! :D Especially when they involve delicious food.

I think you're probably right about the unwell-ness - it seems mostly to have gone, so that's a comfort :D And yes, the North is clearly the best XD
