No, it doesn't, does it? But still people manage.

Perhaps I just need to make up little cards with the ground rules, to be given to new stylists. Things like "2. It is not necessary to shave the entire back of my neck to even out my hairline" and "1. No blow drying. No, really. If you place a blow dryer in the On position within three feet of my head, you are not getting paid for this haircut. NO BLOW DRYING."

Plus which, I keep seeing these gorgeous women on the subway with shaved heads, good jewelry and a generally badass demeanor. I'm so tempted to just say "fuck it" and "bzzzzzzt" and hope I can be that pretty when I grow up.

Do It!
But then I'm still growing mine, mostly because someone I love likes pulling on it.

I can tell it's getting longer because instead of black women my age complimenting my hair cut (as they were 2 months ago), now white women my mothers age are complimenting it (it was shaved in April and has not been cut since).

(Do you actually walk out without paying them? I've never been that ballsy...)
