Accidental flavor pairing: chain grease and chocolate. It's actually kind of an interesting flavor until I remember that my chain is also covered in road spray from 10th Avenue, and well okay fine maybe I didn't get all the grease marks. What doesn't kill you adds flavor

MTA is the Metropolitain Transit Authority, which runs the bus and subway systems.

I was trying to swipe my card into the subway system, and there's already a woman standing there arguing with one of the station clerks. None of the turnstiles were working... she tried, I tried, nobody could get in, nothing the clerk was going to do about it, and I knew I had money on my card at least. Just then, a guy walks past on the inside and swipes his card in my turnstile.

It works, for some unknown reason. No reason it should have, but it did. I was about to walk away, and decided I'd try swiping my card in this girl's reader, and THAT works. She goes "Oh thank you thank you you just SAVED MY NIGHT" and at length I invited her to come along with me. She said she only would come if I escorted her home to make sure she didn't fall asleep on the train. Then she started petting my hair all the way to the bar. And, uh, yeah.
