way more fun than fish

Just fed my planaria a centipede I dug out of the landscaping this morning.

Gathering ball of tiny flat brown OMNOMNOMNOMNOM in evidence. Others who haven't yet figured it out are doing that decidedly catlike head-waving thing.

Starting to attract the attention of human kibitzers too. Whee!

They ARE! Now they're swimming around. I daresay they look contented and snackish for dessert.

We tend to feed them until they're kind of flaked out and sated.

But then that might be why our population has been increasing so alarmingly.

Yay! We were wondering what you were going to feed them. I think I like the foraging approach...

Might be a good idea to change the water after feedings - it gets pretty gross otherwise.

I mostly like the foraging approach, but I couldn't find any good-size earthworms in the dense, clayish soil. I'm tempted to either obtain some worms, or (oh bother) start a worm bin...
