audiblesigh's posts about music theory vs. color theory have caused me to think about the latter, especially as it relates to textiles and painting composition. What makes a shirt 'go' with another shirt or some pants? I've been playing around with color-wheel toys (the Sessions toy listed here is pretty neat) while trying to think of yarn colors that might ( Read more... )

Oh damn...sorry that no one got in touch with you. Jaci is in Canada, Sarra was running around all day, Sam wasn't feeling well for most of the day...and so I just didn't go.

Sorry that you went out without us! Though we should be their next week.

Can I give that quote to my dad? regarding the book? My dad wrote what sounds like something very similar about WWII but hasn't been able to find a publisher yet, so I think he might like to research that book and see what made it do well...

Sure, go ahead.

This one is published by Pineapple Press, which seems to be a small publisher specializing in books about Florida.

Good luck to your dad.

the two places that had bamboo yarn online didn't? Is there some sort of silk blend that would be similar?

I was wrong about SWTC. They don't sell online at all, they just have a list of distributors. :( I found ONE skein of SWTC Bamboo 'Intensity' at WW yesterday... it was much more reasonably priced than the stuff from BMFA or Tricoter, but I need two sk. Le sad. Need to go back to WW and see if they won't order some for me.

Blue Moon Fiber Arts still doesn't have any info on their website, or any pictures on hand of their full selection (why the heck not...) and I didn't really want to buy from them not knowing what they have.

In conclusion: nope. :/

DAmn. You'd think it's something the crunchy granola types out here would love. What was WW's price?

SWTC's distributors are online, though..and this is the cheapest I've found yet (instead of $25/150yd)

Though, this place has some on sale. At $9.45/skein, I might buy some too.
I heart bamboo.

I didn't go to SnB yesterday; Haven is heading out for his 5-week visit to Denver on Thursday, and we just have too much to do before then.
