the ANGST. I have a pretty nice torch and fuel for it, and thinking of buying a tank of propane and a Little Torch, but I have no decent shop space. I'm holding back from building a bench by thinking "ew. I don't wanna work in THERE." ("there" having no power, and a leaky ceiling, and a car in it most of the time.)

Brandon was kicking around ideas for a co-op shop, as we so often dream about. Whatever happened to that?

Ooh... knifemaking. Now that is something I could drool over. One of the vague daydreams I frequently have is of learning how to do smithing/forging/metal-working, although mostly from a historical/recreationist/minimalist type of direction (i.e. having a roaring fire and hitting things on an anvil while wearing a heavy leather apron, etc.).
