Locating Kaworu-san and Kamui-san was not difficult, but the scene awaiting Unohana was more than worrying. She hurried over to them and knelt next to Kamui, not touching him for the moment.

"Kaworu-san ? Were you here when it happened ?"

Kaworu glanced in the direction of Unohana when she arrived before turning away.

He shook his head sharply. "No." He kept his reply short, not trusting his voice for long answers.

Unohana looked up at him with a frown.

"You mentioned this as being similar to something that happened in your world. I take it that you are affected too."

This place was far from ideal for treatment, and Kamui-san required a bed, and some feeding procedure to be put in place so that he would not suffer from his own body's exhaustion.

"Let's go back," she said, getting up and grasping Minazuki's hilt. She drew the nodachi and called its name. "Swallow the Heavens, Minazuki !"

The lade dissolved in green smoke and formed the giant, one-eyed stingray. It keened at Unohana as it landed, making the rubble around them shake. Unohana picked Kamui up and walked to Minazuki, who obediently opened its mouth to accept him.

"Minazuki will keep him warm and hydrated until we are back. We will see if there is anything more to be done for him then."

She held out her hand to Kaworu-san.

"Come. We are not walking back."

The angel nodded very briefly.

"Arael did something like this once." He paused slightly and dropped his head a little, his words were slow when he spoke. "The second was completely broken down. They doubted she'd live."

In the back of his mind there was a little voice saying that his sister did much worse than these voices. He supposed it was meant to be comforting, knowing that there was a better chance for Kamui to live. He wouldn't and couldn't entertain that thought though.

Kaworu glanced over and watched as Unohana moved around. He sighed out of frustration and lazily picked some dirt off his trousers. He nodded absently to show that he'd heard the other, he hadn't really registered the words though.

He stood slowly and walked over, his gaze keeping to the ground. He took the other's hand without a word.
