The front door of the house was open, although Naruto was doing a pretty damned good job of keeping his eye on it. He didn't want anyone weird turning up-- so when Aang rounded the corner and in - he grinned, almost literally bouncing over to him.

"Hey! You made it!"

He couldn't help but grin back - something about Aang made him regress... even further than usual, apparently. "Lost?! Didn't ya use your PCD thinger?"

His eyes widen a little at the present though, and he looks around for a place to put it. "Ah-- I dunno... Just-- uh... You could just give it to Mum?"

Sango watched the party ongoing from the sidelines. She wasn't a big mingler, though she did want to be able to meet Naruto's mother.

He spent most of the start of the party making sure everyone here-- was someone he knew-- checking the food was still good to eat was important too, and once he'd tried some, with a plate full he wandered over to Sango, offering it out to her.

"Want some?"

"Sure."

She absently picks something off the plate. "Ah, see, this is much better than I could've done."

He blinked a couple of time at her, before picking something for himself and shoving it in his mouth.

"Mmmf, well-- Uh, I guess-- uh, I never tasted what you made before-- so--"

Sakura had helped Naruto set everything up for the party and, overall, she thought they did a good job with the limited supplies they had. She just hoped things went well and that Naruto's mother enjoyed her party. This meant a lot to Naruto and it going well would make both him and his mother happy, and they both deserved all the happiness they could get.

As the party began, Sakura watched the people come into the house, wondering in the back of her head if she had known these people well at some point in time or not.

He felt bad for not saying thanks before, which was why he wandered up beside Sakura, arms folded behind his head, grin wide.

"Hey! You alright?"

"I'm alright," Sakura said with a smile. "Is your mom enjoying the party so far? I haven't gotten the chance to talk to her since it started."

"Good!" That grin is still there, he's so thankful that Sakura's around, and all her help preparing for this? He's sort of finding it hard to know how to express himself.

"Uh-- I think so, dattebayo. She's-- around somewhere. Talkin' to someone or somethin'. You should talk to her though! She likes you!"

Hashirama arrived perhaps a little later than everyone else (It wasn't his fault that he got distracted by a lonely plant D8) and wandered up to the house to knock on the door, with his elegantly wrapped gift in hand.

"Sorry I'm late." Hashirama said apologetically when Naruto opened the door.

His grin was wide when he threw open the door, shaking his head. "Nah! It's okay! You're here right? Mum'll be glad!"

He manages to remember to shuffle out of the way, turning his focus to the room. "Uh- We got food and stuff if you're hungry?"

"Is that Hashirama-jiichan?"

Kushina called from a little further in, looking up fro a bowl of ramen and conversation with some of the guests-- chopsticks poised with noodles in hand for a moment.

Hashirama grinned at him and wandered inside, "Thank you, I'll be sure to take advantage of that." He spots Kushina, "Happy Birthday Kushina-chan." He says warmly, holding out the wrapped box to her.

Another party. Another celebration of good things. This city needed more of these events, rather than the horrible things that seemed to happen so often. Juliet arrived nearer to a dinner hour than to when the party began, but with such parties, the hour of arrival did not seem as set in stone as with others. It had certainly not been an issue at Bubbles' party. She carried with her an embroidered shawl as a present, and a small basket of those cans of fruit. It was not much food to contribute, but it was something. If only she knew where more of the fresh fruit grew, she would bring that.

"Naruto!" She smiled when she spotted her friend, and hurried toward him.

He grinned when Juliet arrived, leaning up to look into the basket - clearly looking a little disappointed about something. Still, he wears a grin, and gives her a thumbs up.

"Hi Juli-chan! It's real good to see you, dattebayo!"

She catches that look of disappointment. "I wish I could have found us fresh fruit. I looked and looked, but most of the places I knew of have been washed away from the floods."

She reaches out with her free hand to take his or wrap it around him in a light hug, whichever he'll allow. "It is good to see you as well."

His cheeks flushed and he took a step back, shaking his hands either side of his shoulder. "No, nonono! The flood, uh-- yeah it was bad, it ain't your fault... You brought stuff though that's good and--"

He let her hug him, stepping toward it actually... Adstring had made him a little more tolerant of hugs and physical contact-- "Ah-- Yeah."
