She reached out to the racing game and smiled at it. Her papa had told her how she had first met Usagi in a racing game. That Usagi had been the only one to ever follow her and keep up when Haruka ran. But Hotaru wasn't surprised by that, Usagi could do anything when her heart was in it. And her heart was always into the senshi being together. She pauses at the UFO Catcher and sees the little Luna-P and the Sailor V game that Chibi Usa had told her about and that had been the cover to the secret base ( ... )

Princess Serenity treated the title with some surprise - and showed no real recognition of Hotaru immediately. Her mother had given the Outer Senshi very different roles, after all, and they did not surround her daily as her guardians did.

"You must refer to my mother," she objected politely. "Would you like to be introduced?"

Hotaru suddenly spun around, surprised that it was not Usagi but the very young princess in front of her. Her eyes widened and in the presence of the princess, even in Usagi's dream, she was suddenly donned in her senshi fuku. Hotaru knelt down, bowing her head.

"No Princess, truly I should not be here," she stood up and smiled warmly. "But it is not her Majesty Queen Serenity I speak of."

"She is the Queen of the Moon Kingdom." Serenity tried not to pale at the thought of her mother being dead, or why this stranger suddenly dressed as a senshi was trying to upset her by talking about it. She took a quick look over her shoulder, back to where her mother was speaking with some of the guests, to reassure herself all was well.

Raven looks around her. An arcade. This kind of place has absolutely no interest to her. Though she can't help but think how BeastBoy and Cyborg would enjoy this place. She briefly pauses in front of the Sailor V Game. Maybe she's in one of the senshi's dream. Definitely not Ami's or Rei's. But it could be Usagi's... or Minako's.

Eventually, she notices the hallway at the back of the room and decides to go have look there.

Yeah, Usagi's mind is not much of a surprise.

The hallway, however, is. Why does an arcade lead to a palace ballroom? The world may never know. But bright lights and bright voices make merry against a backdrop of unimagined luxury and beauty. The focus for many seems to be a somewhat preoccupied-

Well, it's Usagi. But it's Usagi in the flowing gown of a princess, and she seems to suit it. She seems poised, elegant, even regal. Notably, the mark of a crescent moon is displayed on her forehead.

Raven feels even more out of place in the palace ballroom than she felt in the arcade. Then she notices Usagi in the princess gown and her eyes widen in surprise. The blond girl looks so elegant and composed.

Raven tries to get closer to her without bothering too many people along her way. When she's within speaking distance, she calls out softly. "Usagi..."

But these are memories; Princess Serenity never once met Raven. She looks at the other girl with a faint, polite curiosity but no recognition.

No one from the Moon Kingdom would mistake who she is. It makes her thrilled instantly. Is this someone from Earth somehow? Do they have news of Endymion?

"Please, I would speak with you awhile," she urges Raven.

In the real world, Face would have gone for the racing game and then examined the hallways. Never leave a door locked, he's learned, because they always hide something useful--even if it's just a bundle of petty cash.

But this is a dream, and he goes right to the Dating Sim game.

The dating Sim is pretty... odd actually. The main character is Usagi female, and the scenarios lead to choices such as what to do if a guy picks on you about your grades, saves you from a monster, calls you an embarrassing nickname, tries to protect you...

It's an arcade. Negi hadn't been in a working arcade since Kyoto - the arcade in the mall here certainly wasn't working, and the machines weren't in such good condition. Where in the world was he?

One machine in particular caught his attention. The other ones, he'd seen before. All games seemed to be typical to arcades, the racing game and UFO catcher especially. But this one...

"A... 'dating sim'?"

The dating sim was definitely catchy. It was a bit strange though; most of the interactions were sort of bizarre and the choices were things like what to do if a guy (the main character was Usagi after all) picked on you, teased you, rescued you, protected you.

Regardless of what it was, it sounded like fun. In working at Mahora, he'd heard some of the students speak of dating sim games, and he had to admit, a part of him was incredibly curious to find out just what it was.

He approached the game, experimentally pressing one of the buttons, just to see what it would do.

Dating sims are, at least, very easy to get the basics of. Menus pop up asking for his choices, and the game waits until he inputs his decisions. It's all refreshingly ordinary to start; the heroine meets a few new people, gets into small trouble she can be rescued from by the various guys.

Rhode wanders the hall of games--there's nothing like this in her time and age, but it's close enough to a carnival feel. and in the logic of dreams, she figures out how to play them easily enough. But as amusing as trying the Sailor V sidescroller of the dating sim and UFO catcher are, something keeps pulling her away from the bright lights and color of the gaming hall, to peek into the dim hallway.

The sign on the doors is ignored as Rhode leaves the games behind, glancing from door to door until one catches her attention. This is what drew her here--locked and barred. Chained shut and hidden away. This isn't meant for anyone to enter, and of course, in her way, Rhode has to see what's on the other side.

In the logic of dreams that is not entirely logic, Rhode lifts her hand, her own form of magic manifesting as purple energy around her fingers, with which she intends to blast the door out of her way.

"Don't open it." The voice is calm but insistent, almost pleading. These are not even just secrets behind that door; they are things Usagi - Princess Serenity - deliberately shut out of her mind. They are things that should not come to light.

But neither Serenity nor Usagi is here to stop it. She has always been open and giving, and so the lock on this door should always have been enough. It isn't; the first blast already starts to shake it.

Rhode ignores the voice. Doesn't respond as she hits it again with dark energy. And a third time. And then kicks at it with one inhumanly strong strike.

She hates things being locked away and denied. It's always more interesting to see what comes to like when it's been so carefully hidden.

The door gives way, leading to... a celebration?

Everyone is laughing and talking in the background. Meanwhile, the senshi (unmistakable even at this age, though they seem to be no more than children) kneel before the queen who carries a baby in her arms. They swear fealty to the infant and promise to protect her with their lives. They look forward to her becoming queen in her turn some day.

The infant is equally unmistakable; her hair is even done up in that signature style already, tiny buns.
