Claire is pretty sure that Topher Brink is both too stubborn and too...kinetic to die. She's almost convinced that if Topher were to get sick, his body would hyper the virus out. Still, she's a doctor and she worries.

Even if she doesn't really like him all that much.

"He'll be all right." She still doesn't know the story there. She's not sure she wants to. She's a little confused and concerned about what Topher said about her 'coconut'.

A whole hour away from the disturbing conversation with alive!Bennett and not evil! Saunders had given Topher time to...well not calm down exactly. More like settle into a state of shock. He saw lots of people wandering around but he strove to avoid them all, secure in his belief that none of them were real ( ... )

"We'll see, won't we?" Bennett never was one for false hope and she's not digging it today, either, but she gives Claire a small smile as they head outside, her dead arm still in it's sling under the coat because taking it off to get the coat on was just three minutes of work that she didn't need to waste.

An hour was much too long. Anything could've happened in an hour.

Fortunately an internal power source meant the PCD was always on, even if the user wasn't, well, using it. So it was still broadcasting it's coordinates to Bennett's hack while she and Claire make their way across the sector to find him. It'd be nice, she thinks, if there were cars. Or a normal city. Something familiar, something comfortable to combat the prevailing sense of dystopia in Adstringedum. She still thought it might be the Attic. Maybe it'd been the Attic for so long that people came up with a brand new thing to call it, a new way of excusing what happened to them all. Death was the only escape, she'd told someone earlier, and she'd meant it then. Still ( ... )

Claire is pretty sure this is not the attic, that she didn't do anything to deserve the Attic. But you never know.

Calling for him seems appropriate, so she'll help out with that. "Topher, come out here!"

Oh he recognized those voices alright. But if they expected him to come out of hiding they were soreeeeeeely mistaken! He was totally betting that they had fangs and claws and holes in their heads, Jason style masks maybe--who knows!

The hell with this! He wasn't going to go down without a fight. Screw you Rossum! If Echo could escape the attic he could...ah...well...he could put on a good show.

So he grabbed a nearby brick and made with the heroics. "Don't come any closer! I'm ARMED AND DANGEROUS! I'M A GENIUS AT THE EDGE!"
