The red room was nice and loud, a good place to blend in, even if it didn't fit with Kakashi's formal attire. The room was a bit gaudy, not unlike a good book of Icha Icha, and he lurked back from the dance floor, sitting and reading. His hat askew, tilted back on his head, and tie loosely undone, he wasn't bothering with fine appearances this time. He still wore his usual ninja mask (though this one was in black) and also the basic domino mask that had been in his locker.

Parties were not his thing. He had exhausted his sociability the first evening. Now he was just going to wait out the end of the event, wondering how Sasuke was doing on the outside, and where his other teammates were. And catching up on his reading. Chapter 5 was a good one.

A small body settled itself next to Kakashi--she'd made no attempt to hide her approach so it would hardly be a surprise for the ninja when she leaned on his shoulder and attempted to read over his shoulder.

"I don't think people bend that way. Unless they're trained to." She commented after half a second, pointing her lollipop accusingly at a paragraph, and then pausing in thought and dawning astonishment. "Do they?"

He was only surprised that Rhode was seeking him out again so soon. Other than that, however, she had not bothered to mask her presence and he had seen the petite little girl's approach a ways off. The leaning was kind of new, though. Usually people waited a bit before getting that chummy--unless you were Yachiru.

Kakashi glanced over at her and the oddly cute expression she wore. He smiled, and shrugged, closing his book. When someone knew what the content of his book was by the cover, that was one thing. When a little girl knew the content by reading it herself (and commenting on it), that was ...kind of another. Especially since she just seemed so casual about it, so innocent. Rhode really was an odd little thing.

"Mm... They can." A pause. "Some can." A change of subject was in order, away from porn. "That's another cute dress. Card-suits? Do you play cards?"

Already, he has his mind set on just gathering information and nothing more. He's had no luck making any friends when that wasn't his priority. He was more interested in finding people that would be able to help understand this place better and quickly discovered the selfish intentions of the inhabitants of the city. It was enough to make his blood boil yet he still found a way to fake a smile or two.

He wasn't drunk like most of the others that he's seen. He was quite sober and very aware. His purple eyes watched in the corner with his cane in alignment with his center of body, feet out at shoulders width and purple clad hands rested on the crest of the silver dress cane. He wasn't pleased at all and no one offered stimulating conversation to boot.

His face was still covered in the purple and silver mask. It offered him a good defense in case he offends anyone. At least he can add to the defense that would beguile most people. Patiently he waited in the gaudy room of tacky French decor.

A little girl, maybe twelve or thirteen, in a red and white dress with the suits of cards on the skirts and dainty white gloves skips to a stop next to Will. Her eyes are bright, and she stands out simply because she's so much younger than most of the people around.

She has a lollipop in one gloved hand, and offers a second up to the stranger in a mask, wordlessly.

His purple eyes glanced at the girl then he turned his head to look at her. His expression seemed a bit on the stoic side and his tall frame seemed to relax some at the offer.

Without a word he gave a smile and took her hand. He didn't think that words would work well since he was not in the mood to talk. He did offer a greeting. "Oh, hello there. I'm Willy. What's your name?" he didn't like feeling so tense and being in social settings like this really bothered him to the point of nervousness.

Alfons tried hard to keep a neutral expression on (at least he had his mask to hide part of his face) while he wandered through the 'room' that he'd found himself in. At first, he'd considered finding an exit and trying to find somewhere indoors, but it seemed that the maze was warm despite what the weather should be like, and so he'd decided to stay. It would be a nice place to just wander about with his thoughts.

While in the changing room, he'd been shocked to find the clothing that he had. Of course the Animus wouldn't be nice the entire time, of course they had to remind him of Edward, his Edward... It didn't matter that the clothes weren't tiny and didn't smell of oil and metal, it was still the same long jacket and waistcoat...

Sighing quietly, Alfons shook his head to force the thoughts away and let a few of the lights--were those... fairies?--catch his attention for the time being.

Fletcher couldn't see what was bad about this event. Sure his suit was a little stiff and awkward and he found he couldn't leave the room as long as he had his hat on but the ballroom he found himself in this time was amazing. He thought he'd seen a little man wander by... It looked like a gnome from some of the fairy tales his mom used to read to him... and there were floating lights Fletcher was sure were fairies.

Dart seemed keen on chasing them so Fletcher had run after the dragonhawk to make sure he didn't eat any if they really were fairies then ended up somewhere in the hedgemaze. It eventually turned into a game of hide and go seek ( ... )

Alfons was distracted by yet another faerie; they really couldn't be real, right? He honestly wanted to try to catch one to see for himself, but that was rather childish, so--

Distracted, Alfons didn't see Fletcher standing up and tripped over the boy, letting out a yelp and falling right over onto the ground. His mask fell off and he blinked a few times, looking back to see who he'd just bumped into.

Rhode had been in the red ballroom, sitting on the side and watching the dancing while eating cake, when an invitation fell into her lap. It was addressed to her in fancy cursive script. When she turned it over there was a red wax seal she didn't recognize, but when she broke the seal with her nails she'd been showered in glitter and found herself in the blue room, ice and cold surrounded her as she glanced back down at the note.

"Dear Bad Guy/Gal/Robot/Other,

You are cordially invited to attend a special hour with those of like mind and inclination. We do hope you take advantage and socialize with your fellow ne'er-do-wells. This message will self destruct in five seconds.

With love,
Us

P.S. Try the margaritas!"

True to its ink, the note vanished in a puff of sparkles, leaving Rhode left alone to look around and try to spot her 'fellow ne'er-do-wells'.

Carmen had been mid-dance when the invitation arrived for her. Intrigued, she steped away to the wall before opening it. The burst of sparkles was just as unexpected as the transport, but at least they provided a visual cue as to who had been selected. The robot option had her very intrigued, she had to say.

There. The girl she'd spoken with the first day also had sparkles on her. Intriguing. Carmen crossed the room promptly. There was no reason to wonder, not with such an obvious sign. "Rhode, I believe it was?"

Rhode dusted sparkles off her gloves and looked up at the woman approaching her. Sparkles in her hair. She laughed. So Carmen was one. Or the notes were bogus and choosing people at random. Either way it would be fun. Had Carmen's note been the same as hers?

"Miss Carmen~ You're sparkling." She tapped a finger to her lips. "I wonder what that means, hmm?"

A new day a new dress. Rhode stood in front of one of the changing room mirrors, turning back and forth as she examined the skirts and matching shoes. The dress made her miss Tyki, the card motif made her just a little cranky and sullen, alone of all the family, she was trapped here. The ball was fun, but she really hated that she couldn't go home.

And come to that, she couldn't lace up the back of her dress on her own, either.
