Where: An old, abandoned restaurant, with the tables and chairs spiffed up.

Anita is sitting next to Donna. She's wearig some more relaxd clothes, jeans, a T-shirt and a jacket. She's rather impressed to see all of those people in here, and the only one she knows is Donna. So she dealt with stress in the best way she knows. She made coffee. And she makes a damn good coffee.

Kakashi wasn't just here for show, but, being here with Tsunade leading the way reminded him more of serving as an ANBU guard to the Hokage, than as any sort of ambassador or interviewer like the others probably were. So maybe he was 'just for show,' to remind anyone who dared that there were ninjas, and alchemists, and fighters present, and that the Scientists weren't the only ones with a show of force present in the room.

He had scouted out the soldiers, noted who they were and their positions, and kept an eye on his Hokage. She could handle herself though. So could Carmen, and the others here now. In the meantime...he could try his hand at mingling.

"Is this seat taken?" he asked the pretty girl sitting beside Donna (and intentionally ignoring the older woman). He took a seat anyway, pulling out his book to get settled in. "This kind of place really isn't my thing." He flipped through his book to get to a good part and then glanced at her cup. "...And what might you be drinking?"

Anita gave a start when she was suddenly addressed. She was here because she'd been asked to come, and she still had no idea of why exactly she'd been asked. She'd sat there silently and tried not to eavesdrop too much on Mrs. Malkovich's conversations.

"Ah ... no, please go ahead. Uh, it's coffee ? Would you like some ?"

She had probably made enough for a legion anyway.

Spike entered, a little late as usual, and noticed that there were different tables, with people from the network he'd seen and some people he hadn't. The scientists, perhaps? Everything seemed to be quite civil, so an announcement of who's in charge here wouldn't be the most well-placed reaction.

Looking around the room, he caught a glimpse of Donna, who seemed to be the head of this operation. He easily pulled out a chair across from the older woman and the younger woman beside her.

"So," he asked, folding his hands on the table in front of him. "What's the main topic of discussion?"
