Sesshoumaru walked slowly in the corners fo the city. With him was his new 'acquisition', a Swan Dragon who had pledged her life to him. Yes... he had found out it was a her. Explained why it was more docile. He was now wandering this new... city, looking for something to do. Most of the peoples here were beneath him, like that hanyou. He needed a fight to settle his blood, and he had already eaten a few days ago. He wouldn't need to eat for a long while.
Suddenly, he caught a familiar, yet different scent: one of a fellow Inu Youkai. Intrigued, he followed the scent to its source... and found the other inu youkai, Cassidy.
Yay~ Whether you did or not. <3hapless_medicAugust 28 2009, 02:00:58 UTC
Cassidy's ears perked when she caught scent of another dog demon in her vicinity. There were only two that she knew of here in Adstringedum. When he arrived, she gave him a cheerful smile and slight wag of the tail. "Hello, Sesshomaru," she said, voice respectful even though she didn't use a title of any kind. "It's good to see you."
In truth she was both glad to see him and a little nervous around him...although the second had little to do with him personally. She eyed the swan dragon curiously, having never seen one before.
I did actually, in my first log. XDneodaiyoukaiAugust 28 2009, 07:48:04 UTC
Looking at Cassidy, Sesshoumaru went to one conclusion: either she was a genuine full-blooded demon, or she was actually a hanyou, like that red-haired one over the PCD contraption. After all, her features were quite similar to his half-breed of a brother, who had dog ears. However, he scent only confirmed the fact that was indeed a full youkai, even though she was not a daiyoukai.
His eyes focused on Cassidy for a moment, completely silent, and then he replied with a simple nod.
I recall. <333hapless_medicAugust 28 2009, 08:01:34 UTC
"What brings you out today?" she asked. Not that anyone needed a reason to be out. He did seem almost like the type to do just what he wanted when he felt like it. She could tell he was powerful at the least though, whereas she was decidely...well not.
((ooc: Yup, it's simply customary for her clan to keep their ears and tail in human form.))
Ki'nam exited a building, a bottle of alcohol, the intended destination being The Eco Barrel. He did definitely have to hurry over there soon, at least reasonably so he could start building a tab, Daxter would probably be surprised, and irritated that the city's liquor supply was dwindling because he was hoarding it in the wastes to take over there.
She wasn't hard to notice, as she seemed to lack in any offensive ability, including stealth. Not that he was very good at it either. It had been a bit since he'd talked to her, so perhaps it was time to again, before someone else made claims... on his maid. "Hey, Cassidy." He called, not loud enough to hurt the sensitive ears though.
"Oh, Ki'nam." Cassidy knew she'd scented a dragon just moments earlier. "How are you?" she asked politely, ears folding back respectfully. As far as he'd said, he was teaching her to fight, and teachers were to be respected after...not that she disrespected anyone intentionally ever.
His nose wrinkled. She was given off quite a few signs of nervousness. Not unexpected he supposed, since he had dragged her story out of her when she had been around the first time. Though, it still seemed silly to him, the last thing you wanted was to be obviously nervous.
"How's th'weather?" Lame opening, but he figured she'd buy it.
"The weather's been pretty pleasant since the drought ended," Cassidy replied, ears returning to their usual position of only slightly drooped in an almost flop. "I'm certainly relieved, although I know a few people liked it. How about for you?"
The conversation, simple as it was, was a good way to get her to gradually relax. Her nervousness wasn't really obvious, but it was reflected in her eyes along with some hurt.
