Kiba padded across the Safezone at an even pace. He hadn’t slept the night before, whatever the reason was it had long been forgotten, he felt extremely awake though. For some reason he found that he couldn’t stay still for even the shortest of time, he had to be on the move.

The wolf had kept his true form, it was still early and he could tell that most were still sleeping, as he moved through the ruined area. His ears twitched as he remained alert, he wasn’t going to let his guard down during the peaceful moments.

He stopped. There was a scraping sound nearby. He lifted his nose, trying to pick up on a scent to identify who or what was making the sounds. He had little luck trying to pick up on the one smell, there were too many others covering the area. Instinctively his head lowered, ears falling flat against his head, as he crept closer to the sound. A low growl filling the air as the scraping grew louder.

As Ritsuka was digging, he heard a growling sound. It must have been Kiba..at least he hoped it wasn't anything bad. "Kiba-san? It's me.." he put down the rock he was digging with and looked around for the wolf.

Kiba’s ears perked back up, tail also lifting slightly, when he heard the voice. He practically bounded towards the sound, something he hadn’t done in quite a while. He was thankful to see that it was Ritsuka making the sounds and not something unpleasant.

He glanced at where the other had apparently been digging, tilting his head in question.

Ritsuka patted Kiba on the head and reached in his pocket to give him berries. "Even though I eat better now, I still think these taste really good." He continued to scratch and pet the wolf.

"I'm digging a grave..for one of the people that died. That way they can have a nice place to rest."

Murrue stood up in the early morning, carefully trying not to wake either Sion or Tieria. She wanted to help Ritsuka with the burial of the deaths today. Burial. How many burials she has witnessed already? She took a pendant, decorated with a red rose and the initials 'R.I.P' out... her first lover who died in the war. Than there was... Mwu. He also died in the flames of war... and admiral Halberton... and many more.

The times in this place has also been horrible... fortunately, things have gone better by now. Murrue smiled slightly. Yes, she had promised Ritsuka to make some origami-cranes and flowers with him.

As her mind has wandered, she realized a small figure, seemingly digging something. "Ritsuka-kun?"

Ritsuka looked up and saw a tall brown haired woman. He stood up and dusted the dirt off his pants. His mouth opened wide as he surveyed the landscape, people were beginning to show up! He decided maybe he should take his rounds and see how everyone was doing.

"Hello. Thanks for coming. I put things to bury with the dead on that rock over there."

Murrue smiled at the boy. It was so nice of him to think of something like a burial, even as everyone was still worried about what could happen to the living ones. She patted his head shortly.

"It is really you we have to thank, Ritsuka-kun. Then I'll start folding some of the cranes... if you want, you can join me... I'll show you how it works..."

Everyone had been thanking him. He wasn't sure what he had done that was so important that he needed to be thanked. It was a nice gesture anyway.

He was interested to fold the cranes and thought that it would be nice to make his own. "Okay, teach me how to fold them." He looked up at her attentively.

Though he'd only been there for a few days, Ansem walked to the burial site, a few clean scraps of cloth and some pretty stones in his hands. He would have wanted to bring more, but in such a time, it would have to do.

He didn't know anyone, but he valued life and thought it fitting those who had died so needlessly, so violently, would receive a proper burial. Whether their spirits would pass on to some other world or come back, who knew, but it was still fitting.

He reached the location, nodding silently at those already working before setting his offerings down and looking for a rock suitable for digging a grave with.

"Ansem-san, you came!" Ritsuka saw the man looking for rocks to dig with. He found a large one and offered it to the man. "Here, I think this one will do."

Ansem smiled gently when the young boy came over to greet him and offered a larger rock. He took it appreciatively as he looked down at the shallow hole he'd begun digging.

"Hello, Ritsuka. It is unfortunate we are meeting in such a manner, but it is nice to meet you."

He dug a little more with the newer rock before pausing again and looking around at everyone who had gathered to help.

"...It is good to see so many people have come to say goodbye to those they did not know. It makes me glad to see there is still compassion. And you, you are a very special young man for leading this. Thank you, Ritsuka."

Ritsuka blushed at the compliment Ansem had given him. "It was nothing, really..anyone else would have done the same." He kneeled down and took the smaller rock Ansem had been using and helped with digging his hole.

"Have you had any luck finding your friends?"

After flying most of the way and landing in a street not too far away from the designated place for the burial, Natsuki was walking the last few hundred metres, carrying the two canoe paddles she had brought with her casually over her shoulder ( ... )

Ritsuka waved, he had never met this woman before but he felt comfortable being around these people. They were all there for a reason and it was a way to bring them all together for the same cause.

"Excuse me, who are you?" he asked politely.

Natsuki turned to the boy who had addressed her, surprised when she noticed that his ears were like those of a cat. So far, the people she had met here were either of her own kind or did look entirely human, and somehow, she had assumed that this was the case with everyone - which was kind of stupid, actually, now that she came to think about it.

Not letting on her initial astonishment, she greeted the boy with a small smile. "Hello. My name's Natsuki, Natsuki Kruger. Are you Ritsuka?"

"Yes, I am. It's nice to meet you Natsuki-san. Did you bring something to offer?" He asked, his head cocked to the side in question. She seemed like a very nice person. Most of the people here were. He wondered how she had heard about this day.

Having found a patch of open land near a park, Galadriel had managed to summon enough power from Nenya to sprout several flowers for the ceremony. As she walked to where she had been told it was, she reflected on all that had happened. It was quiet now, thankfully, as those sirens had been most disturbing. Hopefully, no more would die, but she had a feeling that this might just be the beginning.

She stepped into the area, scanning for the young boy named Ritsuka. In her arms, she held about a dozen flowers, each one different.

As Ritsuka made his way around everyone, he noticed a pretty woman with flowers in her arms. His eyes lit up. How did she make that possible?

"You brought the flowers," he gave her a small smile, "I put all our offerings over there," he pointed to a large slab of rock that had a pile of different items.

"Yes..." She smiled to the young boy in return. "I will add them to the offerings, then." She gave him a small bow and headed over there to put them with the rest of the pile.
