Mad scientists will have mad sciencey weapons. Juke soon approached, carrying a bulky, odd-looking gun on his back.

"Hey. You Sonic?" He quirked an eyebrow. He has seen all kinds of aliens back home, but never talking furries.

For Jotaro, having something to take on was almost a relief; he'd felt like he'd been holding his breath ever since the mass arrival waiting just for something like this to happen. Sooner or later it was bound to, and the waiting was the worst of it. No more of that, now - time to act.

Considering that Tails was a talking, plane-building fox, the sight of Sonic didn't much faze him. Calm and resolute, he gave him and Juke a nod.

"We waiting for anyone else?"

Spotting Jotaro below, Brooklyn knew this had to be it. He dropped down next to the others, glad this was happening after dusk, and folded his wings down so they resembled a cape.

"Maybe me?" he said in response to Jotaro's question. He looked at the others, recognizing Sonic from the descriptions in some of the stories Tails had told him. "I'm Brooklyn," he said to those who might not know him. "Let's go."

"Sonic!" Charmy flew over to him, and then landed next to him, looking out of breath. "Sorry, got a bit lost! Did you wait long? Is everyone that's coming here?"

Meanwhile at the hiding place, if it could be called that considering how barren this place was, a certain evil doctor was busy tinkering. He was expecting Sonic to come to save the two-tailed fox, he always did and always would do. Of course that's what he was planning for.

The fox would be the perfect hostage in this situation, his way out if things got too close for comfort. Hopefully though with the modifications to the kitten-bots things would go that way, the last thing he needed was a major set back in this place when there was such an open space to rule over.
