To Save a Fox

Summary: Eggman's snatched Tails and people aren't happy.
Sonic stood poised and waiting. Red sneakers tapped the ruined ground in an impatence even uncharacteristic for him. Waiting, always waiting and never moving. This place had been a nice change from that, then Tail had been snatched away by Eggman.
It would never do. He could not forgive this. Even plotting to take over the world Sonic had merely laughed and sped into the fray feet-first for excitement, but they had always kept an unspoken rule on not taking it too far.
It always seemed Eggman was crossing that line, but it had never bothered Sonic until this. Or maybe it always had and he'd just been waiting for an opportune moment to exact vengence.
Probably not. Most that occupied Sonic's mind right now was rescuing Tails and then relaxing in his workshop while the fox went on and on about his latest invention.
Before that though, he had to wait, again. For allies, as always.
