I'm sick =( My body is suffering but my spirit is enjoying the down time. Josh and I have been loving our vacation from school. We have been gaming like crazy and spending hours watching anime and just sitting together talking. Our six year anniversary has come and gone and we still haven't gone out to celebrate. Get well soon, sweetheart! The book you gave your grandfather sounds like something I might have to pick up myself! What's Josh going to take at PSU?

Thanks Kimmy!
I feel so much better today. The last three days I have been nursing myself with lots of rest, water and herbal tea. I haven't had a drop of coffee the whole time so I am enjoying a cup this morning. My grandfather has already embarked on reading the book I got for him, he said he has really been enjoying the sections of eastern philosophy. Josh is entering the engineering program at PSU. He has already finished a lot of his core requirements at CCC. Although he has been admitted, he still has to get some paper work finished to complete his transfer so he hasn't registered yet, which is cutting it close. Still he is determined, as am I, to get his schooling done. Thanks for your interest and for wishing me to get well soon.

:) My old metaphysics teacher, cute smiley old balding guy, sometimes showed us videos in philosophy discussion class of a class similar to ours, but filled with children instead! They were as opinionated and lucid as anyone, and it was wonderful to listen to them. The children guided the conversation and sometimes went in strange places, but because of the atmosphere that the cute smiley old balding guy had been able to introduce, they were all thinking high-minded philosophical thoughts. I hope someday I learn how to better manifest that atmosphere around myself!

And love back to you, sis.

I think my grandfather was also seeking to explore the untainted mind of a child when he presented philosophy to me when I was young. He wanted to see what I would come up with before I was indoctrinated, as many adults are, into one way of thinking. Interestingly, my early exposure to philosophy probably helped to protect me from dedicating myself to one school of thought or one specific religion or any other set frame of knowledge. I will always be grateful to him for shaping my mind by not shaping it at all!

Love you too!!!!!!!!
