FanTABulous! I love the memory stuttering, and of course, that Sam would sooner die if he can't save Dean. Beautifully written.

Thank you so much! I was afraid that this short story would just leave people depressed as hell *g*

... no pun intended ;)

Shit, I LOVE pathos! Not everything turns out Happily Ever After. Sometimes, it's simply correct to feel heart-breakingly sad at the end of a tale. You made the reader a promise, and fulfilled that beautifully.

And now I'm blushing... thanks a lot! :P

*g*

But I have to confess... my favorite stories to read ARE the ones who end with a sad tone, even the ones that make me cry. I think they just move us more, you know?

very well done, vividly imagined, tense and gripping

Thank you so much! For some reason I kept picturing Sam wandering the fireing pits of Mount Doom (LoTRs), so I guess that's from where the vivid images come *g*

Oooooh, poor Sam :(

I don't really know what else to say, because of course there is so much more than just Sam here, but basically, it's "oooh, poor Sam", so I'm sticking with it.

Awesomely written, especially the repetition of the house in the valley!

You know, I just shook my head when I finished this. Most of my stories are Dean centric and for this, where I was suppose to write a Dean centric story... I end up inside Sam's head *g*

Thank you so much!

Well done. It hurt my heart to read but at least there was some happiness at the end.

MY GODS, woman! You have utterly destroyed me!! Even now I can't catch my breath - and all I can see is a glass house with a well inside...and my futile run with Sam.

Thank you...

*Clings, weeping*

*Crushing hugs*

Well, I hope you found some tennis shoes for the man, because gesssh! running on jagged rock can not be good for them toenails.

Thank you so much!
