Query? Icons/Gifs

Is anyone on my flist or tlist good at making icons and/or gifs or maybe making icons from existing gifs? Or could someone teach me same or send me a good tutorial? I just redownloaded Photoshop CS5.1 so that's what i'd be using for graphics

I can make them but unless they are a really high quality video my come out crappy because I haven't learn to edit them yet..just make them. With Icon's though they ususally can't be more then 5 frames and 100 by 100. For tumblr to move they have to be under 500 kb which means if you want it bigger you have to usually use less frames (like 7 to 12) I have used larger size like 500 by whatever (smaller then 500) and that was like 7-10 frames and 300 by 300 (or whatever smaller) and used 16 frames. I know a few people on tumblr that have tutorials I will try to find you one people like.

For making icons out of gif's that were already made. I don't know if photo shop will let you do that unless it's a certain file type (like a psp). I know I had found this free gifmaker on line that would do it but that was on my other computer and it's not on there anymore.

I will look for these after work. :)

I have made one or two icons from GIFs and how I did it was I opened the GIF in Photoshop and I went to the first frame, trimmed it down (cropped what I didn't want), then resized it to fit LJs specifications. I'm not sure if that's how you're supposed to do it lol, but it worked for me.
