December 15 )( Thursday )( During Homeroom

Jul 06, 2009 16:03

The bell signifying the beginning of class had just begun to go off as Shige walked onto school property. He had taken a detour to work, scoping out the area he often visited ever since Rei had been attacked only a few days before. Already information was pouring in; he had been investigating everyone that was involved with, including druggies. ( Read more... )

Amane yawned loudly as she hurried to finish her math problems. It had been an unusually busy night at the restuarant the night before thanks to some granny turning seventy. Sachio had been thrilled to hear that her restaurant had been chosen to hold such an "exciting event" but it had only meant extra work for Amane and Sato ( ... )

The door to the stairs swung shut behind Shige with the help of a nudge from his foot. When he was on the roof, he didn't take much time to look around and failed to notice he had company. It wasn't until she was almost upon him that he took notice in her presence. His msucles tensed when he became aware of her, his mind flashing fast, ready to react in case he was threatened.

His muscles relaxed as recognition set in, but he didn't have time to react as she was closing in on him. He stepped to the side, almost as a reflex, to avoid colliding into her, and turned back watching her just in time to see her stuff fly everywhere.

Shige watched her as she began to gather her stuff, and without saying a word, Shige crouched down and began to follow suit, sweeping her stuff into a pile to help her.

Amane looked up in surprise as another hand began gathering her fallen supplies. A considerate boy at Gakuin? Well that was something you didn't see everyday. She'd only been attending for two days (this would be the third), but she had a pretty good impression of what the opposite sex was like here.

Not that she really cared, Amane was perfectly capable of picking up the things she caused to fall. That said, it came as a shock to the girl when someone of the male genus began showing signs of human compassion. Was she hallucinating? Could the lack of sleep be causing her to see things?

Shige kept his eyes on his hands as he continued to gather Amane's things. She would just be like the rest of the broads that read into every word the Nakamura's had to say. That newspaper only proved what kind of hold the twins had on the school, and any other time, Shige would have found it a fun game to try to break them. Playing with those two would have made high school fun, but not at this time. There was too much going on right now to deal with these two. Instead, Shige would just follow the guidelines of the deal he had taken up and go to school just to finish it.

After he had collected everything near him, Shige looked up at the girl. Curiosity bested him as he became interested in her reaction towards his presence. He gathered the pile and held it out to her. "I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention. Too much on my mind."

Definitely hallucinating. That, or Amane's ears needed to be checked. Had she heard him wrong? Had she actually just heard an apology on Gaukin grounds coming from someone who wasn't being threatened to be beaten to a pulp?!

She gawked at him before remembering her manners. Smiling and waving a free hand at him, she assured him it was her fault. "No, I was in too much of a hurry, that's all." In Seoul, Amane probably would have joked that he should be more careful, but sarcasm didn't seem to be very appreciated here. She wondered if it was a Japanese thing or special to Tokyo teens.

The muscles in Shige's brow lowered, but he did not tense up as he would if he was frustrated. Her reaction towards him was somewhat confusing, and Shige couldn't read her.

"Hurry for homeroom? You're a little late there. That's why I came up here, easier than dealing with the rep yelling at me for being later," he said, smiling at the thought of an angry Andrea.
