The bell signifying the beginning of class had just begun to go off as Shige walked onto school property. He had taken a detour to work, scoping out the area he often visited ever since Rei had been attacked only a few days before. Already information was pouring in; he had been investigating everyone that was involved with, including druggies.

She had hadn't had time to finish her homework and had come to school early so she could do so. If Amane's grades dropped with "all that extra time" that she didn't have in Seoul, Sachio would skin her alive. She had finished with most everything except math, saving that for last because it was her least favorite subject.
Footsteps on the stairs to the roof alerted her to company. She glanced up to see an angry looking boy stomp onto the roof. It had been quite when Amane had first arrived and the arrival of another student alerted her to the time that had gone by. She glanced down at her watch and swore.
Amane shoved all of her things into her bag hastily. She hadn't even heard the bell! In her hurry to get to stairs she nearly ran over the other student. Amane swung back around to apologize, but her bag flew out of her hand, spilling some of the contents that had been so carelessly shoved in.
"Shit," she muttered, running over to her things, almost completely forgetting about the boy.

His muscles relaxed as recognition set in, but he didn't have time to react as she was closing in on him. He stepped to the side, almost as a reflex, to avoid colliding into her, and turned back watching her just in time to see her stuff fly everywhere.
Shige watched her as she began to gather her stuff, and without saying a word, Shige crouched down and began to follow suit, sweeping her stuff into a pile to help her.
