I would like to take you up on that offer when I have something to send your way. If I post about completing a draft of eXpendable (or something else) and I don't contact you, contact me. And I'd be more than happy to send you shiny money for editing.
What's the word count you're expecting in the first 5 pages? 3000?
Not that I'm asking for me -- I'm spoken for when it comes to editing Mythender. As an editor relatively new to this, I'm curious what others expect.
Also, what was the word count on those 41 pages? Four hours is a hell of a time. I spent around 3 hours on a 1000 essay yesterday, though that was partly because they author didn't have time to rewrite it so I had to give it an extra heavy pass (which, granted, they paid for).
Anyway, I'll stop now before I geek on about the editing process.
In any case, I'm not yet that fast of an editor, though it depends greatly on the sort of pass that I'm asked to do and the rapport I have with the author. Being asked to do minor fixes & comment on major elements is different from being asked to do minor fixes and to implement major structural changes in the same pass.
I made minor fixes, rewrote awkward text, suggested fixes for some smaller transitional problems, and did not see any enormous structural problems.
I also got the impression that Robert didn't want me rewriting his game, so when my changes were significant, I called them out or just added comments to let him know what kind of change he needed to make.
I made one game design suggestion, as well. I think it's cool and hope it gets into the final game. ;)

I don't expect to make a lot of money, or even what many editors in the industry make. I just want to fund my gaming habits. ;)

All hail the mighty word count.
