Moving on

So I've accepted their offer at Hachette and am now set to put in my resignation here at work tomorrow. I usually work from home on Tuesdays, but I'll be in the office tomorrow just so I could submit my resignation letter to my boss. To tell you the truth, he probably wouldn't care all that much. He's the type of guy who's just waiting for ( Read more... )

Keanu in A Scanner Darkly is more like his Neo performance than anything--which is about right since some of Philip K. Dick's material inspired Ghost in the Shell and GitS inspired The Matrix ^_^

Have fun at the new job!

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure if there's a huge difference between his acting in all these movies. XD XD But being a Keanu Reeves fan, I'm willing to find the tiny differences. Hehe.

congrats!

oh, and I lolled about Keanu Reeves! :) My friend in college had a great theory about Keanu -- he said that Keanu Reeves is like the reeeeally cute athlete in high school who for some reason tries out for the school musical and you go and you want him to do well because he's soooo cute and even if he kind of blows chunks, you still have a smile on your face while watching him! :D

I totally agree with your friend. Like I said in another post, I don't think there's a huge difference between his acting gigs (lol), and I can name a couple of his more laughable roles (Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, for instance), but I've been a fan of him for years, just like I was a fan of Johnny Depp when he was Hanson in 21 Jumpstreet. I remember when JD first became massively popular because of Pirates and I told someone in a forum, "Oh, I've loved him since 21 Jumpstreet and Nightmare on Elm Street," (ha! He gets around the block), and the kid in the forum goes, "What's 21 Jumpstreet?" which naturally made me feel kinda old.

Anyway, I just hope the kids these days know what Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is. Or at least know the sequel, Bill and Ted's Bogus Adventure.

I adored JD on 21 Jumpstreet. I loved him so much, I even went to see Crybaby just to stare at him, even though I wasn't really all that jazzed about the movie itself, and I was still kind of on the young side for that sort of fangirling back then. If I remember 21 Jumpstreet at all, though, I guess that means I'm no longer on the young side of anything anymore. *sigh*
