So I've accepted their offer at Hachette and am now set to put in my resignation here at work tomorrow. I usually work from home on Tuesdays, but I'll be in the office tomorrow just so I could submit my resignation letter to my boss. To tell you the truth, he probably wouldn't care all that much. Yay for you in taking care of yourself.
Definitely buy yourself a few things.

I'm really looking forward to shopping, and it's really about time I started making that scrap book for the baby. Lol.

Just where is my post saying that you would look back and have a laugh about it? I do like being right :D

Flatter yourself, you deserved it. Maybe even get a new style, a more polished one. A step up on the ladder, and nicer clothes to go with it. Would Chanel do for you? I have no idea what slick book editors wear though (-being on the lower steps).

XD The truth is, book editors sort of wear whatever they want, so we don't really look as slick as you think! We only gussy up when we have to meet authors in person, which is really so seldom. Authors are lazy (haha) and they'd just rather FedEx stuff.

Most editorial departments and companies do away with the business clothes. We all come in casual if we can, but you can, of course, dress up because you feel like it. I haven't felt like it in over a year. XD So I'm feeling that tingle of dress-up again, you might say.
