*Broke down and called the kennel for an update on Kitty. They said she had a little trouble initially, but was doing much better. They posted a few pictures of her. Tomorrow or the next day the trainer will put up a week one video of her ( Read more... )

Poor babies. I always feel bad when animals don't feel well because you can't even tell them what's happening and vice versa. They just have to trust us to make the right decision.

Huh. Jillian usually just walks and walks and walks her horses when they have colic. I wonder if her vet knows the 'salty tang' trick. I'll have to ask her.

Walking can help, definitely. The trailer ride also helped her poop a little.
If I had banamine at home and it was earlier in the day I might have just tried that. I had a horse that got gas colic relatively frequently, so that's what I did with him.
