And instead of my lesson with Zolar today my coach and I tried to put it together. lol She resorted to calling a friend of hers who had to put hers (for her mini horse)together without the helpful ID tags on the items. I think we eventually figured it out for the most part ( Read more... )

The other barn on the property where I board is a mini barn. I’m looking forward to seeing them driving this summer!

I have mixed feelings about minis. They are very cute, but not that useful, except in carts. Really like them in carts. I always feel uncomfortable when people ride them because I know they're not really strong enough for that.:(

Yikes! I’ve never heard of anyone riding them!

I never understood them either, but the folks in the mini barn are completely devoted to them! And they are so cute... Besides the driving, I guess they do a lot of showing in-hand. Sometimes I come into the ring and see these tiny jumps set up. I haven’t seen them work with the jumps yet, tho.

Yes, people here will put pony tack on them, and put all sorts of kids on.

I've heard some of the jumping involves the human also jumping alongside the mini. hee!

He sure was, although I think he was a bit more 'with it' than he led on. Now I want to go watch "Father Ted' tonight.

Tess is gorgeous and seems very patient with you. I couldn't imagine riding a mini. Poor things.

When people say the word harness, I always think James' harness at first, which he wears for safety reasons. :P
