Today the lady from the horse rescue came by with a foster horse for me. She's a 10 month old (probable)half gypsy vanner who's mother died when she was 5 months. Apparently she's still a little underweight, but not bad ( Read more... )

She sounds adorable and challenging. I could never do a foster horse. I would just be my horse LOL.

Good luck staying awake. ;)

lol Yeah, I get first dibs when she's ready to be adopted. The only thing is that even adopted they kind of still belong to the rescue-which makes sense, it wouldn't be good for the horses to get stuck in another bad situation.

Thanks. I stayed mostly awake with the help of three cups of hot cocoa and a coke.

That's brilliant news hon. Sounds like she's just what you needed. Really hope Rex makes friends with her. I didn't know you could foster horses.

Now I'm in the mood to read that fan fiction where John owns horses and Rodney is a trainer. Better get some writing done first though.

Thanks. Yes, sometimes rescues need people to hold onto a horse or two while they're getting ready to be adopted, or while they're waiting to be adopted. I actually already had filled out an adoption form for another horse that didn't work out for me, so already had a relationship with her.

hee! I think I remember that fanfic.
Good luck with the writing.

I hadn't heard of the breed before. Pretty babies! I can't wait to see what *your* baby looks like.

I've got my fingers and toes crossed that all will settle out quickly with Rex and hope things go well with the show today.
