METHOS INSIDE A BOOK

If I bury myself inside a book they cannot hurt me. They must wait at the door as I fly the heights and depths of some writer’s imagination. Some writer, old or new, who dared to reveal her or his soul to me. A writer, perhaps like you, with a few pure spots left on your soul. That I might touch. So the tired fragments of what was my soul might feel free an hour or two - until they find me. If I bury myself inside a book they cannot hurt me. Your pages keep my demons away.
