hi,

i haven't updated for a long time. i've been pretty busy at work. i guess i'm starting to get on top of that now, so here's a sketchy portrayal of things in general lately:

three weeks ago i went to New South Wales for work. i spent three days in Sydney, two days in Wagga Wagga and two days in Canberra, including one in Queanbeyan, which is a ( Read more... )

I agree with weak cocktail comment, I had their 80's special and I could hardly taste any alcohol.

yeah fully. i totally expected more for twelve bucks! it didn't taste that awesome either. it wasn't BAD per se, but yeah, still a disappointment in the taste department.

well, i certainly didn't! meh, it was ok - just not awesome.

yeah the cocktails were shithouse. at least at hula bula you get your cocktail mixed properly. hmmm, i'm not so sure about passion pop in the carpark. if i had a drinking buddy i might have considered it, but no one was really into getting too boozed up - i think that's a sign that we're getting old...

i noticed the lack of dimension in some shots, but these were mostly close-ups. i definitely noticed the 3D more during the action sequences, particularly during the wide shots where you got a glimpse at the action from a distance and you could see things like how deep the canyon is or how high up the evil guy's zeppelin is...

yeah josh brolin was great, as was geoffrey wright - man, i love that guy! oh, and ellen burstyn too. thandie newton sucked as condy though - pure caricature. plus, i get really sick of seeing james cromwell play himself - he didn't even attempt bush senior's accent...

awesome! eugene levy gettin' all crazy, catherine o'hara acting dumb and making wicked scrunched up faces, and john candy looking semi-thin! thanks dude, yeah i'd love to borrow it.
