Funeral

Marita's funeral will be held in the Heysen Chapel at Centennial Park on Thursday 8th July 2010 at 1:30 pm. We have asked for no flowers but donations either to Oxfam or Medicins sans Frontieres. These were Marita's favoured charities.

So sorry we won't be able to attend, but we'll be thinking of all of you on Thursday. Love, Brian and Jean

Because we are not all able to fly to Adelaide on Thursday, we have decided instead to meet in the Gardens here at that time, to share our memories of Marita - not only our cousin, but also my oldest and closest friend, and loving and loved 'aunt' to Emily and Alicia. Marguerite will join Howard & me, Emily & Matt, and Alicia & Mark with Sophie & Bridget, and we will be thinking of you all. We would love to be with you in Adelaide, and we will add to our donation to Medicins sans Frontieres the money we would have spent on airfares.

I am so deeply sorry that I am still not strong enough to travel to be there with you all and to share in remembering Marita's life and saying goodbye. Marita was very special to me and her passing is so very, very sad - she is greatly missed by all of us here in Brisbane
