The only time I've been to Cali was on a choir competition trip to San Diego. I don't feel that I'm very helpful here. It was a blast, for what it's worth... But that's about all I remember.

Our polos were navy. BUT we had horrible dresses! Oh, man. They were cream and maroon and they had huge bows down the front! Aaaaah! We went to a different place every year for competition. New York City, Nashville, D.C., Boston, San Diego... Lots of places!

I'd say Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, or Six Flags, but it looks like you're not going near those areas so ... I'll ask some friends of mine who are from San Diego and San Francisco what they think (I'm from the Los Angeles/Orange County area myself).

unfortunately i think i'm going to have to skip disneyland (i have permanant vertigo that renders me useless on amusement rides), and i've been to disneyworld many times. but this knott's berry farm has been suggested by a few people, i need to check it out! thanks :D

I've never been, but one of my friends moved out there and one of the things she says we *must* do when I visit it go to San Francisco & visit the fisherman's market..I also wanted to go to Alcatraz, cause that would be neat!

I am *so* jealous!

Fisherman's Wharf is a pretty big/keen tourist spot, yes, but...
Alcatraz is truly spooky and takes a long time. Bad Vibes. I prefer to visit it in a Tony Hawk video game. ;P

It's been awhile since I've been to California, but I remember the Monterey area being really pretty.

I personally would love to go to the Cornerstone Gardens. And they're in wine country!
