Today at work we had our White Elephant/Yankee Swap gift exchange. Since I am poor, I decided to make some gloves to give away. I was afraid whoever received the gloves would pull a Michael Scott-esque "you only love me a homemade oven mitt's worth!?" and make me want to kill myself

Yeah I think I can send them for $5 or so, as long as I go through the regular mail and not UPS or something.

That's all amazing. I think I would have flat out fought someone if there were a Jayne hat up for grabs and I would have totally been bummed over the gloves being take from me.

The gloves are beautiful! Are they difficult for a first year knitter? Like the cables - will I run screaming for the hills if I try them?

Dude! I don't know if you drink coffee or not, but Starbucks has this coffee cup that has like a knitted scarf texture. It's awsome! And white. It's bumpy. I love collecting coffee cups. I am insane.

The cable knit coffee cup! I FREAKIN' LOVE THAT THING! I gaze longingly at it every time I'm in there, and I absolutely do not need any more coffee cups.
