Dear Diary...it was the best day ever.
Today at work we had our White Elephant/Yankee Swap gift exchange. Since I am poor, I decided to make some gloves to give away. I was afraid whoever received the gloves would pull a Michael Scott-esque "you only love me a homemade oven mitt's worth!?" and make me want to kill myself.
However, not only did the original recipient love them, EVERYONE loved them. Everyone loved them so much in fact that they were stolen like 10 times throughout the game, someone almost cried because they were stolen from her, and then people actually placed orders for them.
Like...an INSANE amount of orders.
I have to make SEVENTEEN pairs of these gloves! LOL! I am truly shocked that they went over so well. And this is pretty much the best thing...ever. Because I'm being forced to take off the last 2 weeks of the year, I was going to be penniless for the first 2 weeks of January (temps don't get paid time off, and I am, unfortunately, technically a temp). But now I'll be making a HUGE chunk of that money through the gloves, so I WIN! I REALLY REALLY WIN!!!!!
Sooo...I am pretty much thrilled beyond belief. Especially because that pattern is fun. And also the money haha. I don't have to feel guilty about buying a Wii anymore. :D (I also buckled and bought a Wii Fit! omg)
So anyway. Have some pictures.
The gloves are the "Evangeline Fingerless Gloves." I found the pattern on Ravelry if anyone's interested. They are super fast!

And this is the Jayne hat I made for corellianjedi!! This is the 5th or 6th Jayne hat I've made so far. They never get old, to be honest :D

In other news I'd like to thank ALL of you for sending me cookie recipes the other day!! In the end I chose these Andes Mint Cookies suggested to me by my BFFF superfrayed. I just made roughly 9,000 of them. And they are GLORIOUS. Just FYI.
