Matt, your feet are ugly and anyone who hasn't told you this is simply too kind for your feelings. You feel entitled to march those stench pigs around in the open where their sanity-blasting disgustingness is felt, after all.

It's not just the ugly, it's the smelly. The host is suppose to provide slippers and slippers would hide the stench of your socks. A good host would also discreetly spray a bit of Odour Eater into your shoes when you aren't looking).

However: DUDE, that's what the foyer is FOR, even in American houses. A place to take your fucking shoes off and not track mud all over hard-to-clean carpets.

Wear the goddamn slippers that your host provided. Trust me, no one'll be looking at your feet anyway when you're acting like such an asshole.

Pfft. Americans.
