I just spent a very happy Monday afternoon reading this fic, and it was time very well spent!

I love fics that deal with the reveal of Merlin's magic, and you handled it perfectly - with Arthur's sense of betrayal at the lies, yet his inability to turn on Merlin. That Arthur was the one to come up with the soul bond idea was a nice touch, and that scene with the high priestess, where he finally admitted that he wanted to keep the bond, just made me melt.

In fact, there was so much that I loved about this fic. Wonderful job ♥

I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the magic reveal part of this fic. I've written that concept before, but I struggled a lot more with it in this fic, because I wanted to really deal with everything. So it's such a relief to me to hear that you felt I did that well.

Oh, my heart! I cried when Uther died, I want you to know. The end of his relationship with Arthur felt so genuine, and the love there, on both sides, was absolutely heart wrenching. I also loved Merlin's passion, when he was talking about everything he'd done for Arthur, how he wouldn't back down, even when he was ashamed or obviously sorry.

(But I think that the Pendragons were my favourite part of this. I absolutely adore what you did with Uther...)

Aww, sorry for making you cry. But I guess I've done something right, so I'm glad for that aspect of things :). I really enjoyed the Uther/Arthur aspect of this fic as well. It went through quite the transformation from the first draft to the final draft, but I think I'm really happy with how it turned out in the end. No matter how much of an ass Uther is, he still loves Arthur. Same with Merlin. Must be some sort of weakness, eh? ;)
