Thank you! I was actually hoping for some more H/D recs. The trouble is that since it's not my pairing a lot of things that get recced aren't my cuppa. I've found it helps increase the chance I'll enjoy them if the fics are insanely hot. ;D

You've already listed the first one that came to my mind - Anise's "Spice of Life". A lot of her stories are smokin' hot. There are some listed on the Snarry Reader Master List that are particularly good.
Ellen Fremedon's "Returns of the Day" Trilogy, which I've mentioned before, is also hot, hot, hot. The links to that are on the above list too.
There are some good erotically charged stories listed in the Oh that's Hot post. (I'm doing a bit of pimping today, by the look of it.)

Hahahaha! Yes and no. No because, seriously, I can ramble on endlessly. But, yes, because I have discovered that I can either post and reply to comments or I can keep up with my flist. But I cannot do both. I feel very disconnected from fandom atm. So although I am enjoying the interaction here immensely, I don't know what is going on outside of my journal. That's a bit too self-absorbed even for me. ;D

I love ficrec posts. I've been going through the list that "Dumbledore/socks" fic was on (computer crashed; I'll have to find the list again) and was thoroughly enjoying those; now I'm diving through most of what has been recced here.
The only one I don't see mentioned yet which leapt into my mind is the Finder's Fee series by Gatewaygirl. I can't just skip to porn, I need a certain amount of scene-setting first, but Finder's Fee gets pretty darn quickly to the sex, and it's interesting sex. I also can't articulate just how much I love that Harry doesn't automatically dig every new element Snape tries to bring into their sex life. I've returned to it a lot more often than, say, For Someone Special, which is a new kind of kink every chapter virtually, and it's not just because I've kinda gone off het.
Also, possibly, Seeker's Perfect Plan. And The Boy Who Lived a Bit, already mentioned. Along with someone above, I think of In Between Days as being hot without having any clear recollection of the actual sex! I do remember some, ahem, interesting Apparition lessons, however. But mainly I dig Atrata's awesomely grey, manipulative Snape. And Harry being, you know, a bit of an idiot from time to time.
I find Cambiare gets less hot the more I listen to it, but

Yeah. I think it interesting how some fics that I originally remembered as unbelievably hot didn't really hold up to a second reading.
Heh. I almost included a number of Star Trek and Merlin fics because those are both fandoms where short and porny really work for me. Though then I think my recs list would have been about 100 fics long. Also, for myself, I wanted to keep the fics focused on HP. Though I certainly don't mind if others want to make recs in other fandoms.
I want long, well-told, thought-provoking stories from the HP fandom
*Nods* I know for myself when it comes to HP fandom, porn isn't enough. I almost never read PWPs in HP. Though I will go back and re-read some parts. And not always the porn. Actually, almost never the porn. But I do recognize when porn is especially well-written.
