I'm looking for a raising Harry fic as usual. All I can remember about this one is that Sirius is raising him; Remus is in some other country, maybe another part of England, or a secluded area. Sirius for some reason needs a place to stay or hide with Harry, so Dumbledore sends them by portkey to Remus. Later, I think Sirius is a little jealous ( Read more... )

This is driving me crazy. I can think of two stories that would fall into this category, one of which may be the specific one you're looking for, and I can't find them. Maybe someone else can if I describe them ( ... )

The first one you mentioned is the one I'm looking for! I can't remember where it came from, but I don't think it was fanfiction.net. The second one is Mending Bridges I loved that story and forgot about it till now.

Well, this is both good and bad. Good because I can now go and reread that story, and bad because in my search, this was one of the stories I thought might be it, opened and read the first few paragraphs, then discarded as not it.

I'll have to redo the search and see if I discarded the first one too :) I'm fairly confident it's not an obscure one... it's somewhere out there.
