I have about had enough of smut.  Don’t get me wrong - because I love smut just as much as the next person, and most of my favorite fics include smutty scenes - but I’m starting to think that almost every single R/S fic is a plot device ultimately leading up to fabulous sex.  Which is irking me ever so slightly…

So - pimp out your favorite smut

For the first one, I can remember one in which Sirius is allowed to send one letter once he's in Azkaban - it's to Remus, of course - but the guard reads it and just laughs and throws it away. I can't find the link, though! Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Oh, and for smut-free fics, pretty much anything by minnow_53. I think she's only got two NC-17 fics on her whole journal. There are several R ones, but most of them are PG-13 or below. Off the top of my head, Butterfly Dreaming, For Remembrance, and Pretty in Pink are some good ones.

I should rec others, but your music made me think of one of my own favorite non-smut pieces that I wrote: Sparkles and Sugar Plums. Remus and Sirius take a young Tonks to see the Nutcracker Ballet, and I promise she doesn't conclude she's going to marry Remus by the end ;)
