Reason For Apping: Well, after OMG_Naruto_RP kinda withered away, I heard about a new game Biz had put together called "Camp Fuck You Die". I'd been a fan of Fruits Basket for a while, the Kyou/Tohru pairing in particular, so when I saw the game had a Furuba cast (including an adorable Tohru) but no Kyou, my duty seemed clear. My first app was horrible and was rightly voted out (I'm not linking to it, and I hope no one else will, ever). But my second barely pulled out a win in a dup battle!
Reason For Dropping: Ahaha, I didn't drop so much as idle. Real life got ahead of me, and I just didn't feel like I ever had time to catch up and get active again. When you feel like every post you make is a catch-up post, it's time to think about things.
Select Option 3? I'm kinda embarrassed about a lot of that old RP, but I remember getting Kyou caught in a crayon drawing in the Arts & Crafts Shack was pretty fun. And I fondly remember the time that Kyou got stuck in cat form as a magical-girl mascot, complete with wings and sparkly necklace, and Yuki kissed him to turn him back rather than let Tohru do it. Oh! And there was the time Yuki slapped him, which of course meant engagement by KKM! rules.

Reason For Apping: Fast forward a year and a half, after I'd gotten into the Fruits Basket manga and found it to be even greater than the anime. I can't remember why I started thinking about CFUD again, but I decided to swing by and check it out. To my great surprise, there was a whole new awesome Furuba cast (with another adorable Tohru), manga-based this time, and still no Kyou! And apps were opening in a week! It was clearly fated. Over the course of that week, I pieced together an app, made way too many icons, and grabbed two usernames. cat_outcast I dismissed as too serious for a cracked out RP like this; I may use it if I ever app Kyou at a more serious game. And so came the voting round -- and another dup. It's funny to think about it, really. If I hadn't suddenly decided to app that week, Kyou would have gotten snapped up and I... don't know what I would have done. Cried, maybe. XD
Select Option 3? This link right here will forever be the one I point to when asked for my favorite Kyou thread. Every thread I ever played off of Tohru was wonderful, especially the page-stretching mistletoe kiss and the resultant reimagining of canon. And oh god, the bodyswitch with Yuki was amazing in so many ways. Not to mention the genderswitch! AND BOTH CFUW GAMES. I can never ever ever drop Kyou, ever.

Reason For Apping: While I was visiting my girlfriend, we happened to watch a few episodes of MLaaTR, and it clicked with me! Upon arriving home, I tracked down a site with all the episodes available for download, promptly mainlining most of the series and completely falling for Jenny. At the time, Kyou was my only character, and I wanted my next one to have a unique and different voice. Jenny's a super-powerful robot who can handle enemies much more badass than Kyou can, so I could throw her into the really epic boss fights. But at the same time she's very feminine and girlish in personality, quite the opposite of the redhead.
Reason For Dropping: Unfortunately, I got to the point where I didn't feel like I was managing to get her voice right. Her icon set wasn't that great, either -- I found myself using some icons way too much and others not at all. And the longer I went without playing her, the less able I was to pick her up again. So I let her go back home to Tremorton. Every so often I consider trying to pick her up again, but there are other characters on my plate I want more.
Select Option 3? I loved her friendship with Kon and Buffy. And fighting the oozaru was epic and wonderful. Oh, plus her friendship with/crush on robo-Jeff was great.

Plus I hiatused a lot after getting him in, and I couldn't reconcile his staying calm with his being gone so long. So I let him go at the same time I released Jenny.

Reason For Apping: Oh my god. I ran across Hidamari Sketch thanks to TV Tropes, and I couldn't. Stop. Watching. Until I'd reached the end of what had been subbed at the time. And while I was briefly tempted to go for Sae (she's too much like Setsuna, is the problem), eventually I just knew that I had to have Miyako. She's just... she says exactly what she's thinking at all times. I've never had another character quite like that -- even Fuyuki shuts his mouth on occasion. She seemed like she'd be so much fun to play. SPOILER ALERT: SHE IS. As a note, I was planning on apping another character in the October-'08 round, but I just couldn't get that app to work. So instead I sent in Miyako's app, which I wrote, start to finish, in a single day. Seriously, her voice came that easily to me.
Select Option 3? I haven't done all that much with her yet. But her two posts so far have been beautiful and joyous. Eating contest with Nakatsu, trying to get Rei to show emotion, nicknaming Nana; and then CAPS LOCK DAY oh man. Miyako is the other character that I can never ever drop.
