I'm pretty sure this is where I can post this!

So, question: do you allow shape-shifting characters? One that can transform from an animal form into a human form. I realize that powers here are tampered, so I figured that, even if you did, the character might get "stuck" in one form for an extended period of time until summoning up enough energy to switch again.

Thanks in advanced!

It is, yes. Or you can email us at acairnia[dot]mods@gmail[dot]com, either one is fine.

We don't think there'd be a problem with shape shifters. But powers are greatly reduced, so the lycanthropes would more than likely only be able to change from one form to another once a day/night cycle, because it would likely cost a great deal of energy to do so.

In question, what is the fandom you are taking the character from? Or is it an original?

Gotcha! Thanks for the quick reply, too.

Oh, I was thinking even less than that. That's pretty awesome.

Original! It's actually for a friend, since we've been looking to play a pair of O.C.s that are BFF's somewhere for a while. We were sulking that maybe we were going to have to create our own game (because, let's face it, you've gotta be really able-bodied to do that).

You're welcome. We try to keep an eye on things around here. ♥

Let us be more clear. Say the character starts out a human at the beginning of the day cycle. He/she will be allowed to shift forms whenever they wish at any time during that day cycle, but he/she will remain in that shifted form until the night cycle, and so on. Ergo, they will not be able to regain human form again until the next cycle. And please keep in mind that the cycles are not on a 12 hour rotation.

OC's are more than welcome here on the island. We realize that not everyone has to play a fandom character to enjoy rp. As long as the character is well-thought out and balanced, we have no issues allowing originals. Also, OC's do not have to be reserved; you may simply post their applications at any time.

This is probably a stupid question...

But is clothing provided for the new residents? Seeing as they arrive so suddenly and only have one switch of clothes on them, I was curious. I'm not talking anything extensive of course, just maybe a basic swimsuit and a couple plain t-shirts and shorts.

|D

Also, in regards to restaurants and stuff... Do they require payment of some kind? And if so, where would the people go about getting the money necessary?

And just one more question, regarding residents submitting requests to the GM for things. Would we just post about the request in the character's journal and the mods would reply there? Or is there a more formal system of some kind that I'm not aware of?

I KNOW, I'M ANNOYING. I'M A DETAIL PERSON. D8

They can get new clothing at the shops in the Commons. Whatever you'd like to use, you are welcome to post in a video entry. Just make sure that if you post images, they are put behind a LJ cut. Text links do not require a cut, however. Video entries can only be made when residents are in their own rooms, however, with their PDA's connected to their laptop stations ( ... )

Alright, thanks for the information!

Those questions have been nagging at the back of my head for a while. |D

You're most welcome. Feel free to ask away; the more detail we have about the story and game, the better we can make it for you.

And it's a large concept; we know we haven't thought of everything, so feedback from the muns is a great help. ♥

Is Clue considered a crack fandom, even if the character you want to app is a murderer and Washington D.C. Madam?

No, Clue would be a legitimate fandom. Our interpretation of "crack fandom" is Spongebob Squarepants, Fairly OddParents, the Simpsons, Southppath or basically anything shown on Nickelodeon for younger audiences.

If you wish to reserve, you are more than welcome to do so.

Well, it is a slapstick comedy. But there's murder invovled, so I just wasn't sure. Expect to see a certain Madam on the reserve list any second now.

And thank you for your time.

Apologies for the errors.

The devices would adapt to their assigned resident, yes. Blind or deaf characters would be able to use them.

We would prefer a fandom character to be reserved first before an OC is applied, yes. You may reserve the fandom character then apply for the OC, but you still must apply for your fandom reserve, as well.

Any other questions, let us know!

Thanks!

Not to be a bother, but where are the cabins located in relation to everywhere else? I'm trying to get an idea of the basic map in my head and I'm not really sure about that one.

The resort goes as follows: (we apologize for not having a complete map, hopefully someone will suggest a good generating program and we can rectify that for you ( ... )
