A lot of things in rl happened lately: A-Levels, writing applications for universities, guy issues, holidays in north-Italy...at the moment renovating my old room

O.O Kensei is 5'9"? WUT?

Standing shoulder to shoulder with a 6'2" Ukitake would not be possible. That's a five inch difference. Continuity issue, Kubo.

((Though, I would kind of be into them being the same height, or with Shuuhei being slightly taller.))

I'm curious to what Shuu!Babe's Soul Connection is, personally. I can't translate it all since I'm very weak with Kanji. Hahaha.

Oh I have no problem with an almost equal height between them, really. When I first started writing them as a ship I instinctively thought Kensei would be pretty close to the same height (admittedly not shorter, but not TOWERING over Shuuhei either). Now that I've had time to digest it, I really, really like it. Muwhaahah. What tortures shall I put the boys through now I wonder....

I can rock Hiragana like a pro, my kata needs work, and I know very minimal Kanji myself. I'm getting more into it this semester (thank god), now that I've reached the next level of the program.
(Japanese is my minor, actually. I'm much better at speaking than writing though.) But that site? So, so useful. Thank you very much for it.

I kinda started with Katakana since I had to translate sth on a medical device for my dad xD Hiragana? almost non existent (besides the most used ones) I learned a bit of elemental chinese...

Honestly, that makes me want to cry, y'know? All this time I've assumed Kensei was about 6'1" (me and xglimpsex found panels from the manga of Kensei standing beside Ukitake and there was very little difference in height between them) so to see that he's just under 5'9" (179 converts to 5.872703 feet; and Shuuhei is 181...5.93832 feet. Hmm, a difference of 0.065617 cm? Better off saying that they're pretty much the same height (which is whoa on the sex scale of intimate sexy teims!)and leave it at that.

But thank you so much for posting! Must now go and rethink most of my fics.

I've also thought his height was about 184/85, but well...let's just leave it at that

just leave them be. They are good as they are. If you're talking about some new ones though.......my icon says it all^^

It's the confirmation of sth we fangirls already knew, but hearing it from Kubo is still different

Honestly, I doubt it. Not just because of the TTBB panels but because so far Kensei has always been depicted as 'towering' and often enough the angles he is drawn even enhanced that impression. Probably a mistake.

This drawing is beautiful. Shuuhei looks like he is sitting on a waterfall. And I may be probably the only one but I love him depicted with dark purple hair. (maybe because I associate that colour with melancholy and there is a very solemn and even melancholic side to Shuuhei in my eyes.) ♥

Oh! Is that a translation of a Kubo interview? AWESOME! (Heh, you know Kubo now ships them. How much you wanna bet he reads fic, lol).

Srsly though, I'm working on wrapping my mind around Kensei being Shuuhei's height (2 cm? Pffft...it's Shuuhei's hair that makes him taller).

Your icons are gorgeous. Especially the one where his hair is longer and it looks like he's having fantastic sexy teims.
