You know JSTOR.com ? I wouldn't know what I did without it, it has no special religion filter, but much usable content especially in the field of religion sociology.
Also, which languages do you speak? There is a large website for german religion studies in development. The University of Leipzig already has a large link list and summary and there are more sources available. We have also the CERES network.
In the US, it is really a problem because religion studies is scattered in many other fields, religion economy belongs to the economy faculties aso. That way, I think that your search will be of more success if you look for the subdisciplines like religion psychology, religion sociology and the likes.
