Handy that. Thanks!

I may finally be able to publish my book on the habits of newts, Newts I've known: an exhaustive history of my time among the aquatic members of the family Salamandridae

Yes, yes indeed.

I'm basically at the point where I'm hoping to be able to spend next summer working on a book proposal, but the concept still sort of terrifies me.

It's overwhelming, to be sure. But once you figure out what presses you're going to target, then you get into a rhythm. The biggest pain is how each press wants a slightly different set of proposal materials. But once you get one master document done, you can cut and paste accordingly.

But I think I spent about a month solid on the process. Took up an entire July, I believe. But -- even despite the issues -- worth it. I have to say, when I got my proofed pages back and saw the official title pages all laid out ... it is a bit of a rush. ;)
