Hello all,
I just came across this
guide to pushing & marketing your scholarly book on the University Affairs (a Canadian magazine about academia) website. It's primarily aimed at folks publishing in Canada (e.g., specific grants to think about applying for; info on Canadian university presses), but I imagine some of the advice is probably true elsewhere as well to various extents.
Just thought I'd share in case anyone else finds it useful, and I'll also invite others to share their book publishing advice as well (putting together a proposal, revising a dissertation for publication, horror stories, etc.)
